BA Early Childhood Education
As an early childhood professional for over 40 years I’ve had the pleasure of reading and listening to many educational children’s books and music. The most memorable are the ones filled with rhythm and repetition, making a lasting impression on teaching important concepts. This brings me to my most recent pleasure of reading and listening to the Pawter in the Water educational project. The lessons and concepts taught through these books and songs have the incredible ability to highlight water safety in a memorable way. The creators of Pawter in the Water have used rhythm, repetition, music, and fun to engage and educate children and families
on the five essential water safety rules. The Pawter series provides easy, hands-on lessons and tools for teacher’s parents, and community members. Learning the five rules can make a positive difference contributing to water safety awareness everywhere. This series is a great way to be entertained, have fun, with the potential to save lives!
